Asian Food Company Sees Production Success with Automated Packaging Machine

Client Requirements:

A large Asian food handler in the process of modernising their food packaging production line, expressed a growing need for multi-bag cartons. They subsequently came to Jacob White Packaging with the following requirements:

• Multi bag carton packing
• Pouch collation
• Complete automation
• No human intervention in order to meet hygiene standards

Our Solution

Following a site visit to better understand the company’s current procedures and processes, as well as understanding in detail the solutions they would like to put in place, we were able to install fully automatic multi-bag packaging lines.

These lines will collate pouches from multi-bag filling machines, using an individual cartoner.  These fully automated packaging lines ensure the product is hygienically made and packed without human intervention, ensuring customers of a completely safe product.

The End Result

Our customer chose the NS-X 5 automatic cartoner which offered them a completely automated solution, with an integrated carton erector, automatic and carefully controlled product placement, and box sealing all in one machine. The customer was also impressed with the ease of use, quick and uncomplicated size changing, allowing flexibility on product lines.

This packaging machine also comes equipped with a “no carton, no product” reject unit which discards the product outside the guard line of the machine. Made from stainless steel this automated packing machine was ideal for a food environment, where hygiene standards are paramount.

To ensure the speed of operations is maximised, loaded cartons are discharged from the machine using powered belts.
