Service Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled engineer who knows their way around machinery, isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty and can work independently out in the field. You’ll be visiting customer sites across the UK (and sometimes overseas), installing, servicing and maintaining our packaging machines.

You’ll need to be someone who takes pride in doing a job properly. You’ll be the face of Jacob White when you're on-site, so you should be professional, polite and able to think on your feet. 

You’ll have plenty of variety in this role. Most of your time will be spent out in the field, working directly with customers. It’s hands-on, active work that suits someone who enjoys solving practical problems, takes pride in doing a job properly and likes the independence of working on-site. You won’t be stuck behind a desk, this is a role where you’re trusted to get on with it and represent the company professionally.

What you’ll need:

• Mechanical and electrical engineering skills
• Experience working with industrial or packaging machinery (or similar)
• Full UK driving licence
• Willing to travel across the UK and overseas
• Confident working alone on customer sites
