Propak 2025 Shows Signs of a Market Reawakening

Propak Asia 2025 was one of the busiest exhibitions we have seen in the region for some time. After a long period of uncertainty, attendance levels and the energy on the ground suggested the market is beginning to recover.

Our local partners, Sripipat, had a prominent front stand and played a key role in helping to drive footfall. Their presence gave Jacob White strong visibility throughout the event and helped facilitate a number of valuable conversations.

Jim, our Chairman, attended the exhibition and said: “This year, Propak 2025 felt much more active. Since Covid, the market has been very quiet, but it now seems to be recovering. There is still some hesitation but the focus is clearly on automatic solutions, not just to reduce labour costs, but to minimise reliance on manual staffing.”

That shift in mindset came through clearly during our time at the show. Businesses are no longer looking at automation purely as a way to reduce costs. Many are turning to machinery because they want to avoid the growing challenges of hiring, training and retaining staff. The goal is greater stability, reliability and control over operations.

We received a number of good enquiries. While it is too early to confirm outcomes, the quality of leads was encouraging. It was also clear that reliability and after-sales support remain key decision factors, particularly in regions where downtime is expensive and technical support needs to be dependable.

As Jim noted: “Our machines are priced higher than many Asian suppliers, but they offer greater reliability and importantly are backed by local support.”

That distinction between initial cost and long-term value is becoming more important. Buyers are thinking beyond price, focusing instead on trust, service and consistent machine performance.

We would like to thank everyone who visited us during the event, and especially Sripipat for their continued partnership and strong local presence.

If you would like to follow up on anything from the exhibition, or discuss your own automation plans, please get in touch. We are always happy to speak with businesses looking to take the next step forward.
